Tejaswini Pandit and Piyush Ranade's rigorous training

Director Mangesh Kanthale is busy right now in training his actors perfect the art of horse riding and fencing for his next project. The untitled project, which stars actors Tejaswini Pandit and Piyush Ranade, will be a period film, and is touted to be made at a whopping 3.5 crore.

The actors will be trained extensively in horse riding, fencing and daan patta. Kanthale says, "The film will be divided into two parts — the present and an era 400 years ago. We therefore need our actors to go through rigid training to look convincing on screen." The director who has been working on the script for the last three years says, "We took some time to initiate the project as the budget of the film is around 3.5 crore. It was important that we had everything in place before we start the shoot."

Revealing more about the training they will need to undergo, Tejaswini says, "Instead of working out in the gymn, we will be doing outdoor activities to tone our body. Horse riding is very tough. Besides, we are told that the stunts in the film will be difficult and dangerous. But I am excited about the role. Piyush is already trained in martial arts. For me everything is new."

Piyush, who is trained in martial arts by stuntman Yajnesh Shetty, is equally excited, "I have undergone training because I was keen to learn martial arts. But now to put it to use in a film will be quite interesting," he says.
